Double Pole Position and Race Win for Shaun Thong at Norisring

Rnd 3/4 Audi Sport TT Cup 2015

Hong Kong's Shaun Thong took a light to flag victory in the renown Norisring Street circuit in Hamburg, Germany after he started from Pole Position under the changing weather conditions and held off his rival for 15 laps and took home his first ever victory in the inaugural Audi Sport TT Cup and also his first in Touring Cars racing. 

" I am lost of words!! But i am extremely delighted to have put my beautiful Audi TT Cup racer on a double pole position this weekend and now i have converted my Pole Position into a race win! Thank you my mechanics and my helper Tim for make every decisions on spot and providing me a winning car. It was a really good recover from the first weekend in Hockenheim as that weekend was really rough but after today's result i am more relief and knowing I am able to win boost my confidence a lot more! " Said Thong. 

However the winning streak did not continue on Sunday although Thong made a rocket start off the line but a cold rear tire at lap 1 has spun him around and dropped the 3rd. He lost further places in the race due to racing incidents contact but he came home 16th, gaining valuable points for the championship.
