Thong set for Michelin Le Mans Cup Debut with CD Sport in LMP3

Shaun Thong joins the newly crowned 2022 Asian Le Mans LMP3 class Champion CD Sport for the 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup set to start off on April 13th at Paul Ricard, Le Castellet in France.

Thong having various experiences in Prototypes returns to Europe since his full campaign in 2015 with German team Phoenix Racing in 2015 for the Blancpain Endurance Series. Bring alongside his previous pedigree from Asian Le Mans LMP3 form 2016 - 2018, 2019-2020 Asian Le Mans LMP2 whereas Thong clinched a podium finish in the final round in Buriram, Thailand and and also his recent season with Konrad Motorsport with the team’s newly acquired Ginetta LMP3.

The Michelin Le Mans Cup is bound to have their strongest grid ever since the championship started with over 30 staggering LMP3 grid plus 10 GT3. Summing a total of 40+ cars for the opening round. Thong will be joined by French Bronze driver Fabien Michal to challenge this year.
